Sirius XM announced today that it will broadcast live from the Fantasy Football Superdraft at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV, this Friday, August 27, and Saturday, August 28.

The event will be broadcast on Sirius XM's Fantasy Sports Radio Channel, XM channel 147 and SIRIUS channel 211. Yes there is an entire satellite radio station dedicated to Fantasy sports leagues!

This weekend the big event is the Fantasy Football Superdraft. According to the organizers, the Superdraft is a weekend long series of events in Vegas which includes fantasy football drafts, live entertainment and Vegas nightlife.

On Friday from 5:00 - 6:00 pm ET, the station will air Fantasy Football Live, a talk show featuring actor Ashton Kutcher and Nathan Zegura where the pair will preview the fantasy football season and discuss player picks and draft strategies. This will be followed by a "Celebrity Fantasy Football Draft," where Ashton and other celebrities will bid, auction-style, for players and build their fantasy rosters for the 2010 season. Calling the action will be Sirius XM's John Hansen and Zegura, analyzing each pick and speaking with the celebrity participants.

On Saturday, Hansen and Zegura will host a live three-hour fantasy football special from 2:00 - 5:00 pm ET live from the Draft Room at the Palms. This is where thousands of fantasy football players who have payed $125 will be gathered for their 2010 draft. Hansen and Zegura will offer fantasy draft advice, ranking position players, picking sleepers, and analyzing the rosters being assembled throughout the day.

I wish either XM Canada or Sirius Canada would pick up this station.

And at the end of the ads...

I've been hearing the ads for the fantasy sports league thing for quite some time now, and they all have this message near the end of them:

Sorry, not available in Canada.

So, how does one get it in Canada?

I think you need a US subscription... see the sticky thread at the top of the forum "How do I get a US Sirius Subscription".
