Sirius Canada today announced that its Apple iPhone or iPod touch application for satellite radio subscribers in Canada is now available at the iTunes Canada App store.
Released in the U.S. in June, the application proved very popular and was the number one free application on the iTunes U.S. Application store just twelve hours after its debut.
Through the application, subscribers can access over 100 stations from Sirius Canada. Some select programming including NFL Play-by-Play, Nascar Radio, and Howard Stern, is not available.
Features of the application include the ability to "Tag" favorite songs for later purchase from the iTunes Store; maintain a list of favourite channels for fast; and view what is playing on all other available channels via the "lookaround" function.
In Canada, the application is free from the Canadian iTunes App store. New users will be given a free 14 day trial after which they must be a paid subscriber to listen.
Once the app is downloaded onto your iPhone or iPod Touch, users simply touch the Sirius icon and are presented with a list of music categories to choose from. First time users will be required to log on screen with their username and password.
Readers wanting to listen to Stern on their iPhone should consider buying another application Digital Home has told you about called WunderRadio .
