SXSW is one of the largest music, film and interactive festivals in the United States. Now in its 24th year, the festival will showcase more than 2,000 ms playing in more than 80 venues around Austin.
For the fifth consecutive year, Sirius will broadcast Canadian bands performing live on its English language CBC Radio 3 channel and on its French language Bande à Part channel. The broadcasts will also feature interviews with Canadian artists and the latest news from the festival.
The following is the Sirius Canada SXSW broadcast schedule:
- Wednesday, March 17 4-8 PM ET. CBC Radio 3 (Ch. 86). Grant Lawrence hosts a live broadcast from CIMA's Canadian Blast BBQ at Brush Square featuring performances from Radio Radio, Justin Rutledge and The Beauties, Hollerado, You Say Party! We Say Die!, Born Ruffians, Plants and Animals.
- Thursday, March 18 2-4 PM ET. CBC Radio 3 will broadcast live from Canada House at Paradise Café featuring news, updates and interviews.
- Thursday, March 18 4-6:30 PM ET. CBC Radio 3 and Bande A Part (Ch. 87) will feature a live performance from La Patère Rose, Radio Radio, Les Psycho Riders, Duchess Says.
- Friday, March 19 2-5 PM ET. Grant Lawrence hosts a live broadcast on CBC Radio 3 from Canada House at Paradise Café with interviews and performances from Canadian artists.
