I have a 2-year-old BB Tour with a dead battery. Was going to replace the battery, but got the new BB Torch instead (naturally the replacement battery was almost the same as the new phone).

I am going to give the old phone to Bell, who refurbishes them (or uses them for parts) and donates them to womens' shelters -- which is one of the nly things they seem to do right ;) I had purchased the SIM card for my old phone to use overseas. I don't need it with the new BB Torch, but just want to make sure before giving my phone away, that the SIM card cannot be reactivated and billed back to me. I am sure it can't, but still, would like to know.

BTW, tried to access the Bell site today to check there, and was given a message about a "newer, cleaner, better" online system, only to see the following error message after clickiing on continue. "We couldn’t extract your profile due to technical reasons. Please try again later BSIDE-0000: BACKEND SYSTEM ERROR" Don't you love Bell ;)
