Consumers will soon be able to shop online with a new “Buy Now” button that is being added to Twitter by the e-commerce company, Shopify.

The partnership will allow U.S-based businesses to sell products directly on Twitter, as any product tweeted from by a merchant will include the buy button, allowing consumers to shop within their Twitter timeline.

Canada-based Shopify Inc. works with small and mid-sized businesses to help them sell products online by providing software that clients can use to handle sales made through mobile phones, the Web, and other means.

Shopify has already introduced similar buttons for Pinterest and Facebook.

The company held an initial public offering of stock in May.
