When I access webmail, Shaw is installing some kind of software of my PC, which turns all of my browsing from Internet to Local Intranet, resulting in poorer security. I can tell because if I undo it, then go to another web-site everything is fine, but as soon as I go to webmail, it occurs again. Once it happens, it is permanent unless you explicitly undo it.

It doesn't install every time that I visit, so it looks like it is something that they are enabling and disabling for hours (days?) at a time. I took an image of my drive after it was infected, so when I have time I will investigate what the software is.

I'd like to know what this software is too. Are you sure it isn't just a Java update? are you running the Beta of web mail 2.0 or regular web mail?

Just regular. I have never tried the beta.

Bill, the only software required to run webmail is java and a browser. We don't force or install anything else. Let me know what you find that's installing.
