With so many channels to choose from nowadays, cable and satellite subscribers are often unaware that some television channels even exist and if they do know know, are unsure whether they wish to subscribe.

To entice its customers into subscribing to even more channels, Canada's number two Direct-To-Home satellite television provider, Shaw Direct will be offering its customers free previews to nine different channels or package of channels in December and January.

The following is a list of free previews on Shaw Direct in December and January including what channels you'll find them on.

Addik TV

• Free preview from December 13 to January 9.
• Channel: 758/758 (Classic/Advanced)

CASA

• Free preview from December 13 to January 9.
• Channels: 765/765 (Classic/Advanced).

NHL Centre Ice

• Free preview from December 6 to 12.
• Standard Definition Channels: 471-480/420-429 (Classic/Advanced) and High Definition Channels: 482-490/431-439 (Classic/Advanced)

Prise 2

• Free preview from December 13 to January 9.
• Channels: 757/757 (Classic/Advanced).

Nickelodeon

• Free preview from December 15 to January 31.
• Channel: 550/182 (Classic/Advanced)

Yoopa

• Free preview from December 13 to January 9.
• Channel: 772/772 (Classic/Advanced).

The following channels Aux, Bite and the Pet Network are all on free preview but are available only with 8PSK compatible receivers: 209/319/505/530/605/630

• Aux - channel: 585/269 (Classic/Advanced).
• Bite - channel: 368/68 (Classic/Advanced).
• The Pet Network - channel: 556/187 (Classic/Advanced).
