got to ask
my son left the home mad at us.
He put a lock on my receiver to get back at me.
Now can't get no channel....what do i do???
got to buy a new one or it got a recet button somewhere.
My receiver is a 3100.

This use to work back in the day. I'm not sure if it does anymore
Hard Reset: Press "Menu", "6", "3", then quickly, "Info", Right Arrow, Left Arrow (this should bring you to Memory Dump screen), "TV/Video". You will get a message saying "Non volatile memory is corrupted..." From there unplug for 10 seconds and plug back

Just call Bell and ask them to reset it. They'll send a hit that will reset the lock for you.

It would take him a few minutes to actually lock out all the channels. It's not a one-and-done thing. Sounds odd.

I agree, it takes a long time to lock out all Channels.

You might need your PIN # when you call Bell.

Sounds more to me like somebody's kid trying to crack the lock on the parents' receiver.....but maybe I'm just jaded!
