Don't know if this has much value but it sure brings back memories for me as a kid. Flipping through the Wish Book putting a mark beside the things I wanted.

From press release today

For almost 60 years Canadians have stood beside their mailboxes, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the annual Sears Wish Book. Recognized as one of the most trusted authorities for all Holiday must-haves, a family's Wish Book is a highly coveted household item.

Nostalgic memories of tearing out pages in the toy section or writing your name in highlighter beside the exact Barbie Doll or Playmobil Knight you always wanted can now be replaced with just the touch of a screen with Sears new Wish Book application for iPad, Canada's first shoppable iPad Catalogue application!

"Seeing our magical Wish Book cover come to life on my iPad was so exciting for my family and me," said Calvin McDonald, President and CEO, Sears Canada. "Beyond the cover this app gives our customers the ability to easily organize and purchase all the gifts for their families and friends this Holiday season."

Thousands of items can be viewed, added to Wish Lists or purchased with the tap of the finger on the iPad. The application also includes a built-in gift list organizer to manage Holiday gift giving and shopping. Sharing your finds with family and friends is easy by connecting on email, Twitter or Facebook.

Sears is proud to be a leader in the use of technology and innovation in the Canadian retail industry, helping make shopping for the Holiday season a little less hectic and a little more fun with the Wish Book iPad application.

Sears Wish Book iPad application is available for download via the Apple iTunes App Store.

My poor parents. They didn't have a lot of money so it must have been tough looking through and seeing all the things we wanted.

To our credit, I think my siblings and I knew that we couldn't ask for the moon.
