And yes I know to turn down the back light and not expect clean definition on SD channels...But something else is going on here, my HD is fine and has no real issues right now.
BUT the resolution quality of the Knowledge Network, BBC, CBC, 6Victoria and Space looks ridiculous again worse than an upscaled low res 3gp vid from my cell phone.
I can actually produce better 4/3 m4v using my cheap old canon digital camera than what is coming from Shaw as broadcast SD!
Are they squeezing the signals to gain more width for the pay channels? OTA SD is better than what they are sending over the wire! And yes I am on the digital map. Anyone else here in Victoria seeing the same thing going on?
