Today SaskTel, Saskatchewan’s leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) provider, announced that 8 new rural communities will be able to enjoy the benefits of SaskTel high speed Internet service by mid 2016.
The new developments include deploying high speed basic Internet, with download speeds of up to 5 Mbps in Craven, Good Spirit Lake, and Madge Lake.
High speed basic and advanced Internet service with download speeds of up to 10 Mbps will be available to customers in Riverhurst, Frobisher, St. Benedict, Minton, and Alvena.
Adding to the news, SaskTel has announced that the additional 19 communities will have access to even faster Internet service by the end of 2016 with the launch of high speed advanced Internet in these areas, with download speeds of up to 10 Mbps: Davidson, Waldheim, Ogema, Frontier, Loon Lake, Debden, Codette, Rhein, Weldon, Rapid View, Shaunavon, Hudson Bay, Grenfell, Fort Qu’Appelle, Regina Beach, Buena Vista, Kenosee Lake, Macklin, and Unity.
