The purpose of this thread is to discuss packages and pricing for Max TV.

Just got a letter, various package changes coming February 1st:

Makeful is moving from Action to Variety theme pack (obvious reasons). Spike is moving from Variety to the Action theme pack, and AMC is moving from Variety to Entertainment.

Additionally, the music theme pack is being dismantled; MuchLoud and MuchVibe are being dropped, and MuchRetro and Juicebox are moving to the Variety and Kids packs respectively.

The sports channels are also being tided up to put the new Sportsnet and TSN feeds in order around channel 411.

There's also more French channels in a new, secondary pack (Tele-Quebec, Evasion, Historia, La Chaine Disney, and TVA Sports)

The mandated "skinny basic" is going to be known as "Lite Max"

Did I hear right? I was told by the person who pays for Max in my home, not me, that TVA Sports is going up from $2.95 to $15. The person told me they shredded the notice, so I have been Googling and I can't find proof of that. With winter sports coming, TVA Sports is a great channel to have to add variety in games and whatnot.
