I got my wife a samsung intensity prepaid tells phone. Can't seem to text more than 50 characters. What gives? I thought standard texting length was closer to 140 characters

problem fixed.

We were typing in the subject field. If you arrow down from the subject field - either with the keyboard or the down arrow key on the slideout keyboard, you will get to the body of the message (which is blank, without even a flashing cursor). Just type there (and a cursor appears), up to 132 characters per text, it can take more characters up 1000, just truncating the message into multiple texts.

This is explained in the Samsung manual supplied with the Telus fone. We forgot the manual while on vacation, and the Verizon version that I dloaded did not explain the body field.

Phew! I thought I had bought a qwerty kboard fone that did only short txts!

My wife is liking the phone, which is the important thing....
