When to use the Samsung BDP1500 and on all the disk we put it gives a message that there is no disc in it
What should I look at or is it toast?

I don't mean to sound like a smartass, but did you turn the disc over?
Try all the simple things first. You can re-boot or restore factory settings from the menu.
And i would also try a firmware update.
good luck!

Lable side down right :D

Tried the fireware still not working
Samsung help line , no help
It out of warrenty and cost of shipping to repair it, would be worth more then to buy a new one
Since I am also using a media player I will learn on how to put all the DVDs on a HD
Also we only have 2 Bray disks so no loss

Did hard reset, unplug over night, fireare upgrade still no work
It will cost $35 to get on a bench to get checked out
Is it worth it?

On a second note
How does one put your own DVDs on a hard to watch with a media player from WD?

Since it's out of warranty, I'm guessing it's at least a year old if not more. If it's possible for the unit to have accumulated dust inside then that's what I'd try - open it up and give it a gentle cleaning/ blowing.
