Also known as the Samsung Advance, the phone features a 3-inch touchscreen display, 2 megapixel camera, speakerphone, stereo Bluetooth, built in GPS and expandable memory up to 16GB. Wifi is not enabled.
"Touchscreen technology is an increasingly important feature on today's wireless devices," said Paul Brannen, general manager, Samsung Mobile. "The Advance is the latest in our line of mobile phones to offer fast touchscreen technology without the high sticker price associated with fully functional smartphones."
Additional application features include: virtual QWERTY keyboard, TouchWiz 1.0 touch-optimized interface and mobile browsing capabilities, music player, and alarm clock.
The Samsung Advance is available now for $350 without a contract. Discounts are available for new customers wishing to enter in a long term contract.
