I've been complaining that I was forced to rent a digital box for my VIP subscription. Well, I finally found out that they had long since removed that requirement, so I unplugged my 940 to return it.
I have since installed my long stored-away SA 3100, and unfortunately I get no sound of it. The picture looks fine (for standard def that is). I tried coaxial cable, analogue RCA, and digital. None seem to work. I can't seem to figure out any setting for it either to enable audio:
Mute off
Bypass on off
Digital audio output settings DD vs other
Volume mode variable vs. fixed
Volume up
Nothing seems to work.
Any ideas? Or is it just busted?
Oh well, if busted, that'll be an excuse to buy a new HD box or two. (I already have 3 HD boxes.) Any good deals currently? I seemed to have missed the last 4250HD deal.
