The Wall Street Journal is reporting today that Research in Motion (RIM) will unveil the BlackBerry Tablet at a developers conference in San Francisco next week.

The paper says the device, nicknamed the BlackPad will likely be released before the end of the year. Features include a seven-inch touch screen, built-in cameras, Bluetooth and the ability to connect to mobile networks through a BlackBerry smartphone.

The other big news is the device will operate on the QNX operating system software. ONX was purchased by RIM by RIM earlier this year.

RIM did not comment on the story.
