California based DXG, makers of low cost digital camcorders, this week announced that its DXG-125V all-terrain, all-weather high definition pocket camcorder is now available to Canadian consumers for $130.

Features of the inexpensive camcorder include: 720p HD recording; 2-inch LCD display; MP3 player; and a built-in HDMI slot.

In addition to its low cost, perhaps the most compelling aspect of the new camcorder is its compact and rugged weather-proof design which makes it ideal for sports and outdoor enthusiasts who can't take a full size HD camcorder on their adventures.

The device sports a durable rubber handgrip and a splash-proof exterior which should help protect it against bumps, drops, and filming in the elements.

The DXG-125V can film up to four hours of video using an 8GB SD card.
