Are there any limitations to going with the combination units? Anyone with any experience - also needs to be Wireless N

One limitation is that if your ATA fails then you have to replace your router. I have been with Vonage for about 5-6 years and have had two ATA units fail.

Another downside is that the combo router/ATA may not have all of the router features that you want and it may not have upgradable firmware.

I'd recommend standalone units for the reason mentioned by Wayne. Also I find that "combo" units never seem to perform as well or have the rich feature sets that you find in separate standalone units.
