Hello:

I am thinking of signing up for a Fibe TV & Internet package as there is a promotion going on now. I would like to be able to use US-unblock and Roku to watch US Netflix. It seems that, from earlier postings around the web, the Sagemcom [email protected] 2684 modem provided by Bell cannot be put into bridge mode. This means that Roku cannot be used as the DNS cannot be change. I am wonering if this is still the case. And if it is, is there another media player that can be used to watch US Netflix with the Fibe package?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Any gaming console will work, I believe the AppleTV will allow you to change DNS as well. The other option like what I do at home is run a DHCP server, server based not router based. On my network, I can set DNS based on the IP address of the device. If you can at least shut DHCP off on your Bell router / modem that would be an option for you.
