Rogers Radio today relaunched CFUN-FM in Chilliwack British Columbia as SONic radio at 8:35 a.m. Pacific time.

Officially licenced to Chilliwack, the Top 40 music station operates at 107.5 FM in Chilliwack, Sonic will also be rebroadcast on 92.5 FM in Abbotsford, and on 104.9 FM in Vancouver.

The format change is the latest in a long line of format changes cien the station first went on air in 1986 as CKSR-FM playing adult contemporary music.

Rogers says the station will start off by playing its first 10,000 songs without any interruption. Featured artists include pop's top starts of today such as Katy Perry, LMFAO, David Guetta, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Drake, Eric Solomon, Black Eyed Peas, Pitbull, and Ke$ha.

Rogers says additional details about on-air talent and post 10,000 song programming lineup will be announced in the coming weeks.
