Coincidently, the BlackBerry Q10, which makes its Canadian market debut on May 1st, is optimized for the Rogers LTE Max Network. The Q10 has been making the rounds at various BlackBerry events including a live demonstration on April 30th at the Rogers Centre, where the Toronto Blue Jays ended a four game losing streak with an exciting 9-7 victory over the Boston Red Sox.
There are also several communities that will be enjoying the Rogers LTE network coverage for the first time starting on May 1. In fact, many will be enjoying the first game of the Maple Leafs versus Boston Bruins Stanley Cup playoff series, on their favourite mobile device.
In Ontario, Rogers will be making its blazing fast 2600 MHz LTE spectrum band available in Milton, Sarnia, Woodstock, Orangeville, King City, Bradford, Georgetown, Halton Hills, Kentville, Brantford, Collingwood, Stouffville, East Gwillimbury, Clarington, as well as St. Catharines, which also includes Fort Erie, Port Colborne, Welland and Pelham. The residents in Lloydminster, AB will also have LTE access.
Rogers reports that by the end of 2013, a total of 95 new markets across Canada will be served by its LTE network.
