From my may bill. I'm not 100% sure if this affects IgniteTV since I'm on Digital Cable...
We are currently in negotiations with the broadcaster of the Golf Channel, MSNBC and CNBC. We are hopeful that no changes will be made to your service. However, if we are unable to reach a fair agreement, these channels will no longer be available as part of your TV or theme package starting July 1, 2020. Please visit www.rogers.com/discontinued-channel for details and updates on the status of these channels. If these channels are no longer available as of July 1, 2020 and if you pay a separate monthly service fee for any of them, you will no longer see this charge on your bill as of this date. In the event these channels are no longer available, the rest of your Rogers TV package would remain the same, and this change would be made in accordance with the CRTC Television Service Provider Code. If you have any questions or wish to change or cancel your TV services, check out the Contact Us section of this bill.

My ignite has some SD channels, I know there is a list on their website if you can find it that lists all channels and shows which ones are HD and which are SD. You can always open a chat with Rogers and ask them to email you the full channel list.

Are those channels ones that originate SD? With the old digital TV many stations originated in HD, but Rogers provided them in SD, presumably to save bandwidth. In the Toronto area, that would apply to a couple of Buffalo stations and Canadian cities in other parts of the country. Those stations are now in HD with Ignite.

There's still a few channel in SD on Ignite TV, at least here in NB, even if you don't count multicultural channels, there are still many:

RT, PBS Presque Isle (WMEM), Baby TV, ICI Radio Canada (Gaspé), New Brunswick Legislature, Daystar Television Network Canada, Eternal Word Television Network, Salt + Light Television, MTV 2, ESPN Classic Canada, Assemblée législative du Nouveau-Brunswick.

It is my understanding that all of the IgniteTV signals are sent to your home as 1080P. As for the "original source", that can probably best be judged by your eyes since that can vary from 480i to 4K. On digital cable any SD channels/programming usually has black bars associated with it, either left/right for 4:3 programming or all around for 16:9 programming. There are a few select channels on digital cable that are AFD (link below). These fill the screen even though they are SD, although the upconversion usually doesn't look too bad.

I'm not sure how IgniteTV handles these signals since there would be no AFD in the boxes themselves and any processing would need to be done "at Rogers" for any programming, SD, 720P, etc. For example, I wouldn't know if Rogers takes SD 16:9 programming and changes it to fill the screen, similar to AFD. You would be able to tell if you look at a channel that you know is only SD and see what the result is on your screen. (I'm still on Legacy Digital Cable with Rogers).

Here's an FAQ on Formats:

Someone over on the Rogers forum was kind enough to post a list of some SD channels on Digital Cable. I cannot vouch for the accuracy but they "look right". I'm not sure what these are like on IgniteTV. Some of them may be original HD. It should be easy to check. Of course there is lots of multicultural programming that originates in SD...

It look like that Ignite TV got a new channel on channel 107, The News Forum. Not sure if it's a free preview or it's available to all packages, the channel info don't appears on Rogers website yet.
Rogers has finally cleaned up their free preview page to show start and end dates.
The News Forum Preview Starts: On Now, Preview Ends: November 30, 2021.
