There are eight new Canadian markets celebrating LTE wireless services thanks to Rogers Communications.

In Saskatchewan, Rogers is the first to launch LTE in Saskatoon and Regina. Residents in Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivières, Quebec are all set-up for the high-speed network as are mobile subscribers in Ontario living in St. Catharines/Niagara, Oshawa/Pickering/Ajax, Windsor and Sudbury.

"Canadians' digital needs are changing and we're investing significantly in LTE to ensure our customers are ready for the next wave of digital experiences they haven't even thought of," said John Boynton, Rogers Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

The LTE switch has also been activated in Victoria, Abbotsford, Kelowna, Kingston, Edmonton, Quebec City, Oakville/Burlington/Hamilton, London/Kitchener/Waterloo, Cambridge and Barrie.

Rogers notes that in addition to the recently launched iPhone 5, the LG Optimus G will arrive in November, with the Motorola RAZR HD LTE and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 following shortly afterwards.
