Rogers is closing in on its goal of bringing 4G LTE service to 60 percent of Canada by the end of 2012.

In Ontario, the fastest high-speed network connectivity will soon be available in Kingston, Oakville, Burlington, London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Barrie. The other two major cities preparing for an LTE launch are Edmonton and Quebec City.

While a potential download speed of up to 100 Mbps may be realized, typically customers experience speeds ranging from 12 to 40 Mbps on their smartphones and other connected devices.

If your community has yet to receive 4G LTE services fear not. Rogers will be making other announcements in the coming weeks for launches before the end of the year for several venues throughout Canada and plans for an aggressive roll-out will continue for 2013.Please discuss this further in our Rogers Wireless forum.
