Hi guys,

I just picked up a Monster Power Centre (HDP 2400)
The question I have is this.....

There is a power button on the front side of the unit. Does the unit need to be in the "on" mode in order for it to be both "surge" protecting and "clean power" sending?

Reason I ask is that the unit also has a series of lights on the left side of the front face. As soon as the unit is plugged into the wall outlet, the lights indicating "clean power on", "Protection On", "Ground OK", 'Wiring OK" all light up, regardless of the "power on" button being "on" or "off".

Any help appreciated.....

More than likely, the power button permits or inhibits the flow of power to the components connected to the power bar. The other buttons just indicate the power bar's status. So, no, the power button doesn't need to be "on" for the power bar to be "operational" as far as the surge protection and clean power are concerned.
