The company has reduced the price of its unlimited talk and text plan from $40 to $35 a month, however, the plan no longer includes voicemail or the choice of either unlimited Canada and US text messaging or unlimited Canadian long distance.

Under the old $40 unlimited talk and text plan, subscribers received unlimited local calling, voicemail, call display, call waiting, call forwarding and 3-way calling, plus choice of either unlimited Canada and US text messaging or unlimited Canadian long distance.

Under the new $35 unlimited talk and text plan, subscribers receive unlimited local calling, Unlimited Canadian and international text, call display, call waiting, call forwarding and 3-way calling. Voice mail and unlimited Canadian long distance are now an extra $5 per month.

The $35 plan is a killer package with all the stuff they have thrown into it. At least for the next 6 months at a $25 price tag. Which means they might just rework those plans again in six months.

One thing I thought strange though is that they have split up their previous $8 Voicemail/Caller ID option to $5 each. I really thought their old $8 price was a good deal. Now they are $10 for the two. But not for the folks that opt for the new plans for the next 6 months since they throw in the Caller ID in the package.

Any info on what the subscriber base is for Public Mobile.
