Most speaker systems do not come with speaker cable. Sometimes the store will throw in a set or sell for cheap. Some HTiB systems do have speaker cable, but it's usually a very small gauge and not really recommended (same goes for some 5.1 speaker sets that include speaker wire). We usually recommend 14 ga 2 conductor cable that you can purchase very inexpensively at various outlets like Home Depot... 16ga is an option if your runs are not too long. Some people may require only say 5-10' for the fronts but may require 25+' for the surround speakers.

You would need to feed the computer signal to an amp of some type first.
