Went to their site. Typically Bell: hard to follow, with fineprints all over.
It is not really a good promo... simply a refund on the "Rental kit" and free programming for six months. You can (negotiate) get the same on any purchase or rental agreement without threatening to leave..Yes there is a promotion for HD upgrade, just go on bell's website and click on offers for currrent subscribers.
Only if a new account is created with the transfered equipement. There is a 35$ transfer charge for the client who is taking over the receiver.
I've never seen a CSR do that.many CSR will do that whithout that confirmation
Thanks for the reply... I could have wasted a lot of money without your help!Visit a Bell World Store.
Bell 6100 Refurbished is $199 & a refurb 9200 is $299.
They also had an offering recently, not sure its still valid of a 6100 & 300 for $125.
But to answer you question, no, Bell would not activate the Dish receiver, unless you were luck enough to get a new CSR.
You also need to be aware that the software on that receiver would have to be changed over to Bell too, not a job for a layman.
