I have a low hr SHARP AQUOS LC42D43U, it's 2.5 yr's old and it has developed a vertical black line right in middle of the panel, "burn" is not a possibility, any ideas ?

I'm not impressed with the standard 1 whopping year warranty.

try using a completely different power outlet (the one that is linked to a separate circuit) see whether the line is still there.

Was the line showed up suddenly or gradually over time?

Problems Sharp Aquos external setup

Sorry if I have this posted in the incorrect spot.

Would anyone be able to tell me why I not able to view DVD or my Wii on my TV. As far as I can tell by following the manual I have the connections hooked up correctly.
The wii is connected with audio/video cables and the DVD with component cables in component section 2 and 3. The tv is not recognizing they are there. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a Sharp Aquos LC42LE620UT
Thanks in advance Deb

Are you switching the TV to the #2 and #3 inputs? The TV doesn't sense what input is being used, it has to be changed to the appropriate input.

I'm unfamiliar with that exact model but some Sharp have input-skip function. Is it possible that the input skip for those inputs have been disabled? In the worst case scenario, there is a factory default option in the menu and you can try to bring everything to factory default and see whether the problem persists.

Whereabouts are you located? If it's around my area or if I'm on my way, I can just stop by to troubleshoot.

is input 5 HDMI only? If not, try connecting the Wii or DVD to input 5 and see whether it works.

There is always that possibility that the analog board is defective.
