I believe one of the networks the CRTC approved recently was 10 XXX Gay. They certainly are not wasting anytime getting them on air are they now?

I have never heard of this company? Where is it from? Any website or further news of it in Canada and it's providers?

i miss this channel, why should most of Canada's gay and gay friendly not get same rights as straight people with their porn channel options, regardless of the price? Shaw and Bell are (fill in the blank) lol, for discriminating. The CRTC public hearing on this matter is set for July 8, 2005. www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/welcome.htm (complaints can be filed here) Websites for gay channels that should be available to ALL Canadians are: www.pridevisiontv.com and www.outtv.ca. Let's make this happen people! Thanks, David

I think the CRTC hearing is just about how OutTV is packaged and sold within the programming bundles. I don't think a carrier can be forced to carry an all gay porn channel, I could be wrong but I don't thinks so...

Gay Porn???

It smells of homophobia to me that an option in Saskatchewan and other provinces is not given for the Pridevison XXX Channel. It was forced to be carried before Canada wide when it wasn't all porn, why do the Gay have to be left out in the dark for their fix,???

I did a complaint to the CRTC when Shaw was carrying OutTV as an "adult" channel at 7.99. Shaw eventually changed OutTV to a digital specialty channel at 1.99.

However, I don't see Shaw carrying the gay porn channel anytime soon. Probably not in Sask either. I guess after same sex marriage the new fight could be equal porn for all, lol.

Homophobia? I don't think so.

I gotta say I think it just comes down to economics.

The market just isn't there for a 24/7 gay porn channel. With the cost of bandwidth on something like Star Choice, I don't think they'd make any money.

I think you'd be better off asking Pridevision to change OutTV into 1/2 "lifestyle programming" and 1/2 hardcore stuff like it was before. That way everyone wins...

Or at least carry some soft core stuff the like old pridvision did when it first started pretty much showing everything but penetration and "the money shot" like those cheesy straight movies do. It's time we got equal rights!
