The reviews I've read for the re-release of the old timey Prince of Persia make it sound pretty good--I bought the SNES version for my wife in (I think) 1992. Really fun to play, but the "screen at a time" display instead of scrolling took a bit of getting used to. I haven't downloaded any "pay" games yet since I got my PS3 in August but maybe this'll be the first.
