By the specks and pictures it really looks like the Elite VSX 33 , maybe its renamed 1325 to be a exclusive futureshop model , but still a great unit . IMO it`s not the kinda of receiver that i would put in my bedroom , but with a better use of it .
No kidding! Give it to me and you can have my Yamaha for your bedroom!!
I have an older Elite VSX-84 TSX in the rec room that still works good.Just thought the 1325 was a good deal

The 1325 have a much more accurate Advanced MCACC compared to the VSX-84.
David do think I would be better off with 1325 in my main system

The 1325 does appear to be a rebadged VSX-33. You don't indicate what equipment you have in your main system, but the video scaler in the 1325 will outperform the 84 and is HDMI 1.4 compliant. As David has also pointed out, the MCACC is more advanced as well.

You'll definitely love the 1325. I can almost 100% guarantee you that.

Why Does Pioneer Do This?
It is definitely a rebranded VSX-33. I saw the Elite model this past weekend at a friend's place in Maine. It looks exactly like the 1325-K. What I'm not clear on is why Pioneer does this kind of double naming of their products. This isn't the first time I've come across this issue with Pioneer. Is there any real difference betwenn the two models? Doesn't Pioneer realize that this kind of "nonsense" does nothing except confuse their potential clients? What do they gain by doing this? I would think that it just adds to complications in their inventory/pricing systems, packaging operations, brochure and specifications preparations. Is this why Pioneer products cost more than should in Canada?

There are usually subtle differences between the lower end Elite models and their mainline cousins. For example, the VSX-32 features 12v triggers that the 1120/1125 don't have. The upper end Elite models are only available as Elite.
Denon does the same thing. The 591 and 1611 are identical. The 791 and 1911 are identical. The 891 and 2311CI as well as the 991 and 3311CI have subtle differences similar to the difference between a VSX-32 and a 1120/1125.
There's also very little difference between models in the crossover ranges of Onkyo and Integra.
In other words, it's not just Pioneer.

Also the warranty differences (2yrs vs 3 yrs on Elite), Urushi Finish on Elite and distribution channels due to agreements to Elite dealers. a
I expect it is because the regular line and Elite line are carried by different dealer networks. Double-naming allows them to bring some of the lower-end Elite models into the more mass-market stores, without diluting the "Elite" brand.What I'm not clear on is why Pioneer does this kind of double naming of their products.
In the past, this has appeared to be relatively limited. Their 9000 series models were positioned above the regular line and matched up with the lower-end Elite models -- for example, last year the 9040/9140 available through the big box stores matched up with the Elite 21/23 which were limited to higher-end dealers. (There was a big box version at least one of the ICE amp Elite models as well, but I don't think that many people ever bought that).
This year, they have extended the crossover area by extending the Elite line down by a few more models.

I suspect, after seeing the trend this year, Elite brands will be at FS by 2011 or 2012 the latest except for the very top end (SC-09, BDP-09, etc... if Pioneer still makes true top-of-the-line models by then)
I usually do not shop much at the big box stores.I still prefer the small shops where you can spend all the time you want cheking out the latest and greatest. Some of the best deals come from the little guy.
Just knowing when leave the store you can call these guys for assistance with your new toys if needed is peace of mind.

me too. For most products, I've been going to a couple of electronics stores for the past 18 years. I'd rather pay a tad more for better service and knowledgeable sales people. In most cases, these guys don't actually cost more than FS/BB!
Got everything hooked up an running today with 1325 Pulled the T45s from the other system and set them up in the bedroom along a C60 center and

I found the setup rather easy with the mic. I used the web interface and found it to simple. Is there any firmware updates? Can anyone confirm if this is a rebranded elite?

Yes it is a rebranded Elite for the mass channel.
Don't use Full Auto MCACC. Measure the distance and crossover manually, then go to Auto MCACC (again, not FULL auto, just auto). Then add 2 dB to the centre channel.
