Pioneer VSX-1020 HDMI Ports

Have a new Apple TV 2nd gen. When I try to access my ATV via my Pioneer I get "no Signal, check connections for device etc." My ATV was originally connected through the HDMI port 3. I switched to the number 4 port and everything worked temporarily. Now I get the same message. I thought it would work as plug and play, however that doesn't seem to be the case. Any ideas? Thanks mba36

It should work. Here's an FAQ on HDMI issues and a list of things to check near the bottom. What's the length and gauge of the HDMI cable? Did you try another cable? Try unplugging and replugging the cable a few times at both ends to ensure a good connection. You will also note that there is one point regarding Pioneer AVRs which indicates that they need to be turned on first. (Point 28)
