I found the instructions on how the access the service menu for my TV. One of the steps involves changing the channel (while on the cable/antenna input) to 124, but I'm unable to do this i.e. the the TV is only accepting two digit channel inputs! I've tried adding the channel as a favorite, but it only cycles through channels between 2-62, regardless of what channels have been entered as favourites.

If anyone has any idea how I can accomplish this, I would really appreciate it.

Is there a button on the remote that has something that extends the channel input spaces?

It is usually labelled something like --/--- .

You might need a special remote to get into the service mode.

jvincent, thanks for your suggestions - it wasn't anything you had specifically indicated, but your reply prompted me to dig a little deeper. I found an option buried under 3 layers of menus called 'other adjustments' - I had to change the mode from 'TV' to 'Cable'.

And according to the guidelines set out in Management 201, which states the senior manager takes all the credit but none of the blame for everything under his watch, I will take full credit for the solution.
