My goal for this thread is make it a repository of release note summaries for Pace TDC775D (a.k.a. Tahoe) firmware releases.

I'd appreciate it if no questions were asked on this thread so that release note details can be quickly located. General Tahoe questions, or specific questions about releases can be posted on the Tahoe thread.

11.50 Release notes

Disclaimer: These are highlights from the release notes with issues that are relevant to Digital Home users.

Fixes/changes in this release:

  • Diagnostics Dashboard has been added.
  • Changing the audio language works if you're playing pre-recorded or time shifted content.
  • AC-3 now works over HDMI.
  • Dolby Digital icon now accurately displayed on 5.1 content.
  • DVS audio no longer cuts out.
  • Several closed captioning rendering issues are fixed.
  • Message icon remains lit after its deleted.
  • Message icon remains lit when leaving Pace User Settings.
  • Various HDD filesystem fixes (including video loss 10-15 seconds after a channel surf).
  • Loss of video when exiting VOD/DVR playback.
  • After warm reset from a remote server, box does not return to its previous state.
  • Some Pace User Settings no longer lost after power cycle.
  • MPEG Filtering from the HDD is now possible.

13.54 Release Notes

Fixes/New Features in this release:

  1. Dashboard added to diagnostics
  2. Audio languages can now be changed when time shifting or viewing pre-recorded content
  3. Dolby Digital (AC-3) supported over HDMI
  4. Dolby Digital (AC-3) should display in TVG info banner and the front panel
  5. Audio cut out when using DVS
  6. Various closed caption fixes
  7. Message light still shows after message(s) is deleted.
  8. Message light left on after exiting Pace User Settings or diagnostics
  9. Improved Power On Self Test (POST) during boot up.
  10. Black screen when launching VOD from an analog channel.
  11. If box is reset with a warm reset from the cable headend (DAC), it may not return to live TV automatically.
  12. Some Pace User Settings not retained after a power cycle
