CHEK has moved from RF49 to its new channel 16 assignment, a re-scan of your TV will be needed. CHEK TV is now coming in extremely strong on the new channel 16 at my location in South Burnaby, so that might be good news for anyone in the lower mainland that had issues with CHEK on the old channel 49

Global Re broadcaster on Bowen Island

I posted this question in another thread but perhaps this area is more appropriate.

Can anyone confirm if either the analog or digital signal is still available? I haven't been able to either capture the signal or find a definitive answer as to whether it exists.
Thanks

Looks like MoreDB posted in the other thread:

On June 13, 2019, the CRTC approved the deletion of the following CHAN-DT rebroadcast transmitters at the request of Corus Entertainment Inc. -

CHAN-DT-2 Bowen Island, CHAN-DT-3 Squamish, CHAN-DT-5 Brackendale, CHAN-DT-6 Wilson Creek, CHAN-DT-7 Whistler, CHKL-DT-3 Revelstoke, CHKM-DT-1 Pritchard, CHRP-DT-2 Revelstoke, CISR-DT Santa Rosa, CISR-DT-1 Grand Forks, CITM-DT 100 Mile House, CITM-DT-1 Williams Lake, CITM-DT-2 Quesnel, CKKM-TV Oliver, CKTN-DT-2 Taghum, CKTN-TV-1 Castlegar, CKTN-TV-3 Nelson, and CKTN-TV-4 Creston.

Out of curiosity how has your signal for CBC English (CBUT-DT) moving to Ch 35 impacted you? Has the signal strength gone up, down or stayed the same?
In my case I seem to have lost the channel.
When CBUT switched from ch 43 to ch 35 I did a rescan and got the new channel for about a week or so at the begining of May then it just disappeared.
I suspect they have reduced their signal.
The strange thing is I still get the historically weaker French CBUFT on ch 26.
Also I just upgraded from a Winegard HD7080 to an Antennas Direct 91XG for an extra 3 db but I still do not get CBUT here in Victoria like I used to.
Has anyone else noticed a change in the signal?
Thanks in advance,

I am in Victoria BC (actually View Royal) but I noticed a change in my OTA.

These are the channels I get via OTA:

4.1 - Komo (and 4.2 4.3) on some days. Very Weak.
12.1 KVOS-HD
12.2 Movies
12.3 MeTV
12.4 Decades
12.5 StartTV
21-1 - CHNUDT1 (JoyTV)
27-1 - CKVU-DT (Citytv)
28-1 CTV2
29-1 CHNM-DT(Omni Channel)

Anyone else get other channels I should look for?

Interesting that you get KOMO but not the Vancouver stations. At my location (Quadra/McKenzie area) I can get:
2.1 - CBUT
8.1 - CHAN
32.1 - CTV
28.1 - PBS
28.2 - NHK
28.3 - MHZ
28.4 - TVW
42.1 - Omni
17.1 - CTV2

but no hint of any of the Seattle stations here.

I ran this Signal Search on RabbitEars, using the center of View Royal as the point of the search radius. This is what you should expect IF your antenna is outside and mounted at 30'>>>

I'm located on the south-east side of Galiano Island and have always had very good OTA reception of Global Vancouver until the past few days. Now, if I can receive it at all, it usually pixelates then disappears. Other Vancouver stations have no issues.
