But WVTT was told to wait on 3kw on RF 11 by Industry Canada to protect CKWS.So are they stuck at 1kw.Seems like protectionism not spectrum management.

So Corus did not want to buy a new RF 13 antenna they will continue on RF 11 and cause interference to CFTM TVA from Montreal.TVA complained to Industry Canada and got ignored. They are now escalating to CRTC.

That's silly. We used to have a channel 11 in Ottawa. I don't see how Montreal and Kingston would really have any co-channel interference. CKWS's Wolfe Island transmitter is at most 20km closer to Montreal than it is to CHCH on Hamilton Mountain, and the cross-lake path to Hamilton is much more prone to tropospheric ducting than the path to Montreal.

The interference map provided by Corus shows a small interference zone in middle. All the broadcasters should follow the their repack assignment or reduce power to cause zero interference.Rochester moved off RF 13,Rochester moved to RF 9. CFTO went off RF 9 to 8.All a waste.

Yes CKNY Huntsville and CHCH co existed with both at 325 KW and now Industry Canada has WVTT Buffalo wait on 3KW until CTV turns Huntsville off.
