I have a decent reception of WVNY now in Sherbrooke with this diamond stack of Stellar Labs 30-2476.

Impressive setup. Congratulations.
I have a few questions if you don't mind:

1. Have you figured the gain of this setup?
2. Were you picking up WVNY-TV before?
3. What would be the height of this setup?
4. Can you define in numbers a decent reception?
5. Do you have a tvfool or rabbitears report?

1. Have you figured the gain of this setup?
I'm no expert in gain calculation. Here is my rabbitears report. WVNY has a quite low SNR where I am so the antenna gain is probably very good. I don't use an amplifier on this antenna. The antenna is also used to get RF8, RF10 and RF13.

2. Were you picking up WVNY-TV before?
Before the repack, yes. It was very reliable. After the repack, there were too many reception errors (pixelization) to be watchable.

3. What would be the height of this setup?
9 feet. The lower antenna is very close to the floor and it doesn't contribute a lot to the gain. But I must install it for the stability.

4. Can you define in numbers a decent reception?
Signal is low as you can see but it is stable. There is some errors every 10 minutes during the day and almost no errors after 8h00 in the evening. Please Nexstar Broadcasting boost the signal a bit more.

Thank you for all those answers.
And yes your signal is very low.
But I suspect that your antenna setup does a good job of picking up the signal to a decent level.

Agree 100% on the last remark:
Please Nexstar Broadcasting boost the signal a bit more.

That is all I would need here to get 100%
Cheers,

I wrote to them last year. They don't listen to.
Also they always put lower power when there are GOOD programs (such as some sports), they don't like us to watch their valuable program!
WVNY becomes worthless station to me.

I'm sure montreal will get strong WVNY'signal on Jan.20 because of it's big political day. ABC like everyone understand its political point.

Well, nothing much happening here lately!..
No wonder, WVNY-TV RF7 signal is still way down.
But it is a challenge if you like to play around with antennas & cables.
So recently I purchased a Stellar 30-2476.
Installed it up the pole at 35 ft replacing the log periodic.
Results are not good, was expecting a little bit more:
Signal quality has not improved significantly: from 47 to 47-48%.
Signal strength has improved though: from 85 to 97%.

I was ready to sell off the whole thing, but then I thought the antenna pointing was not double-checked as I should have. And that is crucial if you want the maximum from WVNYTV.
Secondly, the RG6 is due for a change. So will change it.

So, that is the plan for next week weather depending.
Cheers

Interesting results. I manage to get wvny only at night in the middle winter months with a homemade vhf dipole on a uhf antenna. Now with the spring and summer there is no lock so I’ve given up on it frankly.
