Hi there,

I'm contemplating a switch to Telus Optik TV, and am wondering if anyone has successfully integrated the non-PVR Optik box with Windows 7 Media Centre. It looks to have component outputs that will work with the Hauppage HDPVR box that I have, which is good, and the guide setup does have Telus Optik TV as an option for my area, but I am mainly wondering about the IR blaster. I've seen other threads about remote extenders not working with the Optik box and thus am not sure if the Microsoft remote receiver/IR blaster will control the Optik set top box.

Anyone had experience with this?

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but did you ever get this to work? I plan on doing the same thing shortly... Only trouble is you'll only be able to watch/record one show at once. Wish they'd just enable the mediaroom plugin required to get Optik natively under W7MC!
