I have a 3rd generation Apple TV and it works fine. It's connected wirelessly using an Apple Airport express router. I have recently downloaded the Optik TV app for iPhone and I'm trying to stream some movies/TV shows to my TV using the AirPlay feature. I've done this with some videos on my phone, but when I do this with whatever is playing on Optik TV, I just get the audio on my TV, no video. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or could it be that Telus somehow blocks the video from being streamed, since somehow Apple TV is competing with their services?

That is a feature telus would have to enable in the mobile app itself. They control that, not apple.

I have Apple TV as well, and it does the same thing (audio only) when i try to stream Netflix via air play
