Just got this new receiver and it has 'Optical In' Jacks for TV, SAT and BR/DVD; i'm hooked into the receiver from my SAT and Blu-Ray player with HDMI. I've heard that you can make the sound quality better if you also use the Optical cables; is this true/worth it?
Thanks.

You've already got the best hookup. Optical cables (aka Toslink) were big news when DTS and Dolby Digital were the best audio formats. They can't carry either Dolby True HD or DTS MA. Only HDMI can do that.

However...for those that don't have HDMI inputs...most Bluray players today will downmix the HD audio for Toslink or Coax.
