I am a new (3 months) Bell Fibe customer. On Wed, Oct 13th, I scheduled 9 different recordings on my PVR. Most of them during Primetime on the major US networks, some on CTV from midnight to 1 am (series record) , and the others on SuperChannel. I open the PVR the next day to find out that NOTHING, absolutely nothing has recorded. Who stole my recordings?
How does one diagnose such a problem? How does one prevent this from happening again? Is there a hidden menu on the PVR that provides error messages or a way to see why 9 different recordings would have either "not recorded" or vanished? This is the second time in less than a month that this has happened to me. I carefully programs my shows, make sure the red icons appear in the grid, close the PVR and come back to no recordings (even though the previous recordings are still there).
One thing that does come to my mind is the fact that this was the day of the "Chilean miners rescue" so maybe all the regular shows were preempted??? But wouldn't I have recorded 9 hours of rescue and not simply "nothing"? And also, that would not explain the shows from the SuperChannel, they surely did not cover the rescue.
Does any one have a clue what this is all about? I know the router did not crash and the electricity did not go out.
In the meantime, I rebooted the PVR, but this is really annoying.
Thanks to anybody that can help solve the mystery.
Michael.
