As of Oct. 3, the Nokia Lumia 1020 and Lumia 625 are available to Canadians.

The Lumia 1020 boasts a second generation 41 megapixel sensor allowing extreme detail and the ability to produce some of the sharpest images possible by any digital camera. Featuring Nokia's PureView technology, Optical Image Stabilization and six ZEISS optic lenses, crystal clear pictures and blur-free videos with stereo sound are a breeze.

Matt Rothschild, Vice President, Nokia North America adds: "The Nokia Lumia 1020 is a giant leap forward in smartphone imaging technology, removing the complexity of photography while enhancing people's creativity in the way they shoot, edit and share pictures. The Nokia Lumia 625 is the perfect all-round smartphone, combining innovation traditionally found on high-end Lumias, with a suave design and affordable price tag."

The Lumia 625, which combines a large 4.7-inch screen and high-speed 4G LTE Internet access, is available in black, exclusively at TELUS. The Nokia Lumia 1020 comes in black and yellow and is available at Rogers, TELUS and Black's for $199 on a two-year contract, or $600 to $725 contract-free.

Both of these Windows Phone 8 smartphones come with full global navigation and with ad/subscription-free Nokia Music streaming. Windows Phone 8 also includes Xbox Live, Microsoft Office, and 7GB of online SkyDrive storage.
