According to ZAPtoIt, Nikita and The Walking Dead, are two shows worth trying out. They are on the CW and AMC(?) networks respectively. Does anyone know if a Canadian network will carry either one?

TIA

Nikita will also air Thursdays at 9 ET/PT on 'A' (episode 1 aired this past Thursday) in simulcast with The CW and a few days before it airs on Space.

I get a feeling that Nikita will get bad ratings because it airs in the same timeslot as Fringe. The only thing that might save it is that it airs on The CW, where very show gets poor ratings.

Nikita doesn't air in pre-release on Space, but after the CW airing.

On Space, it's sunday at 8pm, then again at 4am, and monday night at 11pm.
I didn't say that it did, I said that it airs on 'A' in simulcast with The CW and a few days before it airs on Space. Read it carefully. In other words it airs on Space a few days after it airs on 'A' and The CW if you'd prefer I worded it that way.

The first episode of Nikita was last Thursday (Sep 9). We watched it in HD.

Sorry, but it was too formula, too many actors that don't feel right for the roles, and we will not be watching this one. I would be interested in hearing how others felt about the show....

Spoilers ahead....
Maggie Q in a bikini is just way too skinny. And if TV adds 50 pounds, she must be painfully skinny.

Some of the stunts she pulls don't seem right for someone who lacks body or muscle mass.

The new Michael is not the cold blooded type.

Some of the technology just does not seem right. When the plant inside Division is communicating with Nikita, the conversation should have been caught within a few seconds, even with today's real world security systems. In the supposed paranoid hyper-secure environment they want you to believe in, this just could not happen.....

I'll try sticking it out but it fell a little flat for me. I had no intention of watching a remake of La Femme Nikita but when I found out it takes place after the original, I was interested. They tried to go for the same feel but didn't quite nail it. As mentioned above, the casting of characters like Nikita and Michael (both pivotal) were off but Amanda captured the Madeline feel pretty well. Also, there were some retcons that weren't neccessary such as renaming Section One to Division (seemingly an intel/hit squad under the CIA, not independant counter-terrorism) and bringing back Birkoff (never-mind altering his character) from the dead instead of using Crawford or Quinn. I'll give it a couple more episodes to see where it goes.
