This is good to see except for the fact this developer phone is coming out with already dated hardware, especially with the release of the dual core phones like the Moto Atrix, LG Optimus 2x and the next version of the Galaxy S on the horizon. I guess what the big advantage will be is getting the updates as soon as they are ready for the next year or so until google releases the next nexus phone, which I hope is cutting edge like the Nexus one was when it was released.

Seeing as the Nexus S is coming to Robelus + Mobilicity, will this phone be a different configuration then the one that currently sells in the US and can currently be put on the Wind network?

That is, I'd like to ahead of the March (likely) launch, go the a Best Buy USA and buy a Nexus S, bring it back here and then activate it with Robelus. Then ideally when they do launch all of the added fully functional features would kick in.

Would this work? Or will the Canadian Nexus S be modified in some way to work with Robelus?

The Nexus S currently available in the States will only work on Wind (or Mobilicity I believe). It does not support the 3G frequencies Robellus use. If Robellus do end up selling the phone, then it will be a 2nd SKU with the appropriate 850/1900MHz frequencies.

The Nexus S is one of the reasons why I switched to Wind last month. Also the amazing Christmas deal they were offering helped too. I'm just waiting for the stock to settle in the US before ordering one.
