Hi guys, new to the forum and want to get USA HD channels and looking for a recommendation in hardware. Single detached home I’m Markham and willing to climb a reasonable ladder to install outdoor antenna if needed. Please help.

I live near Markham, just north of it. I happen to be in a good reception area. I use an outdoor antenna about 30' off the ground and receive about 40 channels consistently. Now your location may or may not work as well as where I am. I use an HD Homerun tuner that provides free data for 2 weeks, but DVR usage is a paid service about $3/month. I receive all the major Buffalo channels in HD with strong signals plus their sub-channels, plus Toronto and Hamilton stations. Should you go with an outoor setup, I would recommend that you have it professionally installed, as it can be very dangerous unless you have lots of ladder experience and safety awareness.

Hi
Is your setup using a directional yagi with rotor? If not could you please let me know your antenna model?
I'm live in the middle part of Etobicoke (Bloor and 427) with clear sight over lake Ontario. Setup includes cm4228hd, cm titan, cm 4 out distributor and Philips 4g/lte filter.
Here are the channels I scanned

Consistent viewable all seasons except extreme storm
2-1 all subs, 4-1 all subs, 5-1, 9-1, 11-1, 14-1, 17-1 all subs, 19-1, 23-1 all subs, 25-1, 29-1 all subs, 40-1, 41-1, 47-1, 49-1, 49-3, 51-1 all subs, 57-1

Really difficult now compared to before the frequency cutoff shutoff
7-1 all subs, 49-2 and 49-4 (these are actually broadcast on the same uhf channels

Only optimum conditions
67-1 all subs

I'm trying to get ABC 7-1 back to regular usage but no idea what I can do. I already install the frequency cutoff to optimize the current operating range.

Oops haven't frequent this forum recently. I'm going to try the 4221hd remove plastic cover from the bows and see if it makes a difference.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
