Hi All,

Sorry, if I barged-in in a wrong section, but I'm new. I want to buy a Sat. Receiver to get the Discovery, National Geo., Science and other channels. Is it possible with a satellite. If yes, which receiver and which transponder. Any helpful input is greatly appreciated.

I think you will find those are premium Channels and NOT available in any FTA transmissions, you will have to subscribe to a provider to get these Channels.

Depending on how much space you have, National Geographic HD is in the clear on C Band. Anything related to the the Discovery network is scrambled. Occasionally, they go ITC.

FTA is more of a hobby as opposed to a way to watch premium content at set times.
