I'm going to be setting up a friend this week with Bell and he wants 2 HD receivers not PVR's. Now I noticed one of my local Brick stores has about 20 - 30 new in box 6141's where other stores only have 6131's. Is the only difference between the two the fact that the 6141 comes with HDMI? My friend will most likely pick up 2 6141's but I just wanted to check.

The 6141 has an OTA Tuner and usually ships with an HDMI Cable, thats about it.

I've never seen a 6141 that came with an HDMI cable.

Doesn't the 6141 also have a UHF remote?

Nope. It's exactly the same as the 6131, aside from the OTA tuner.

Every 6141 that ever shipped out to National Installers , prior to the introduction of the 6131 model, came with the standard Bell HDMI-DVi-DVi-HDMI cable.

Hmm, I've installed a handful of 6141s over the last few months that didn't come with HDMI cables. *shrug*

My friend has the 3 HDMI cables he needs for his set up, So I guess he could get either one.
