Sony this week is releasing new firmware (Version 4.0) for its Playstation 3 video game console which will enable the device to act as a content management server the Playstation Vita.
The PlayStation Vita, also known as "PSVita" or "PSV," is the upcoming handheld game console from Sony which is set to be released in Japan and parts of Asia on December 17, 2011 and in Europe and North America on February 22, 2012.
The firmware upgrade to the PS3 will allow PS Vita users to copy their digital content such as games, music, photos, and videos from their PS Vita to their PS3. In addition, users will be able to back up PS Vita game to their PS3 hard drive, and update the system software for your PS Vita system using the network features of your PS3.
